It’s amazing that you can make instruments and produce music from stones that are found in quarries. This website explains it all and tells you where you can enrol to do it.
Quarry Arts also gets funding to record stories from the history of quarrying in the North and two projects have been completed. Listed under Quarry Tales the Clitheroe and Ingleborough Dales sections contain activities for school, sound archives of the people involved and a searchable photo library.
